We met at church in 2023. Nothing dramatic—just two people slowly getting to know each otherover lunch afterwards with friends and burritos.

Nate was the funny one who always had a clever comment or a perfectly timed joke, and Maddie quickly realized she’d never laughed so much around anyone else.

Over time, our friendship grew into something more. By December, we were officially dating, and it felt like the easiest “yes” to something that had been unfolding all along.

In April of 2025, Nate proposed at Cheekwood Estate & Gardens, a spot just as beautiful as the moment
